CBD oil has the oldest history of CBD products and is a very simple way to manufacture it.
In general, products diluted with edible oil are called CBD oils after the components of CBD or cannabinoids are extracted from hemp.
There are mainly the following types of oils used for dilution of CBD oil.
- Coconut oil
- MCT oil
- Olive oil(rarely)
These diluted ingredients have one thing in common: they are all “medium chain fatty acids”.
Coconut and olive oils are rich in medium-chain fatty acids, while MCT oil is produced exclusively with medium-chain fatty acids.
Medium-chain fatty acids are converted into energy much faster than regular fatty acids without accumulating in the body. For this reason, they are expected to be absorbed at a higher rate when consumed with CBD.
CBD oil also differs in the way it is extracted from CBD.

There are two main ways to extract CBD
Extraction Method Name | How to | Features |
CO2 extraction method | CBD extraction method using carbon dioxide. | It is possible to produce a safe product that does not contain any impurities. However, it requires expensive machinery in the hundreds of millions of dollars, which increases the cost of the product. |
Ethanol extraction method | The extraction method using alcohol. | It can be produced at a lower cost, but trace amounts of alcohol can remain in the product, and people with allergies should be aware of this. |
CO2 extraction methods can be further subdivided into two types. There are subcritical CO2 extraction methods and supercritical CO2 extraction methods, and supercritical CO2 extraction methods, which can work at low temperatures, are said to be best for heat-sensitive CBD.
There are two ethanol extraction methods, one using ordinary cooking alcohol and the other using vegetable ethanol. The use of vegetable ethanol is safer, as it does not affect the body in the unlikely event of ethanol residue.

So, the manufacturing process of CBD oil can characterize a product in this way.
CBD oil is produced at Endoca using supercritical CO2 extraction.

Aside from flavors and tastes, you should also look at how CBD oil is made to make you feel more confident in choosing a product that is safe to use.
